Magnolia Plumbing "Fast Tracks" The Portico Condominiums Project
Magnolia Plumbing recently completed the plumbing and mechanical portions of the Portico Condominiums located at 1203 Fidler Lane, Silver Spring, MD. The Portico is one of the latest projects under development in the revitalized downtown Silver Spring area.
The 151-unit building is on a fast track with delivery expected Fall 2008. The project features a fitness center, a social room and 2½ floors of underground parking. The project will stand 13 stories above ground. Upper floors provide unobstructed views of the Silver Spring Metro Station, the Discovery Communications Headquarters building and much of downtown Silver Spring.
With nearly 60 years of experience, Magnolia has earned a solid reputation with many general contractors in DC, Maryland and Virginia. Magnolia Plumbing Vice President Dominic Magnolia says, "In addition to the solid reputation that we have established, one of the main reasons that Magnolia was awarded The Portico was our ability to fast track the project. A project of this size usually takes 18-24 months to complete but in this case we completed the project within 12 months."
Magnolia's work included the plumbing and mechanical rough in and plumbing fixtures installation to each individual unit. Bovis Lend Lease served as general contractor.
